About The Customer
The Movember Foundation is a charity organization that started in 2004 with the aim of bringing awareness to men's health issues. The foundation has grown into a worldwide movement with offices in Melbourne, London, Los Angeles, and Toronto. The foundation fundraises in 20 countries and has funded 1,200 men's health projects through more than half a million fundraisers, raising over $900M AUD. The engineering team of the foundation not only builds the tech to drive multi-million dollar fundraising efforts year-round but also supports a wide portfolio of investments in men's health programs.
The Challenge
The Movember Foundation, a charity focused on raising awareness for men's health issues, has grown into a global movement with offices in Melbourne, London, Los Angeles, and Toronto. The foundation fundraises in 20 countries, and its engineering team has to deal with the complexities of multiple payment gateways and localization issues. The team releases enhancements and new features every two weeks, and as part of their Scrum agile workflow, they need to ensure their endpoints are returning the expected responses. The team also supports a wide portfolio of investments in men's health programs, including clinical registries, health education, and recruitment for research trials.
The Solution
The Movember Foundation uses Postman Pro for team collaboration and API testing. Postman Pro allows the team to share and sync collections, ensuring every team member is working off the most up-to-date version. The team uses descriptions within the Postman Collections to onboard new team members and scripts to create a workflow demonstrating special behavior. They also save responses to document examples for each endpoint, streamlining communication for team members joining a new group or working on a new project. For API testing, the team has developed a suite of Postman tests that are run at every stage of development. Postman environments are used to set up access and credentials for every server. Postman acts as the single source of truth while upgrading various components, with the team regularly running Postman tests to ensure the Movember endpoints are performing as expected.

Hospital Inventory Management
The hospital supply chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right medical supplies are readily available to clinicians when and where needed, and to do so in the most efficient manner possible. However, many of the systems and processes in use at the cancer center for supply chain management were not best suited to support these goals. Storage of supplies was also a key consideration given the location of the cancer center’s facilities in a dense urban setting, where space is always at a premium. In order to address the challenges outlined above, the hospital sought a solution that would provide real-time inventory information with high levels of accuracy, reduce the level of manual effort required and enable data driven decision making to ensure that the right supplies were readily available to clinicians in the right location at the right time.
