About The Customer
Nutanix is a leading provider of enterprise cloud platforms, making infrastructure invisible and allowing IT to focus on the applications and services that power businesses. The company blends web-scale engineering and consumer-grade design to natively converge server, storage, virtualization, and networking into a resilient, software-defined solution with rich machine intelligence. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in San Jose, CA, Nutanix has over 4,200 employees. The company's university recruiting team was in need of a more efficient and effective strategy for sourcing and engaging with top talent from a wide range of schools.
The Challenge
Nutanix, a leading enterprise cloud platform provider, was facing a significant challenge in its university recruiting strategy. As the company expanded, it needed to attract more talent from a wider range of schools each year, while also competing with well-known consumer brands for top candidates. However, their existing methods were not yielding the desired results. The university recruiting team was relying on spreadsheets to manage and organize candidates, which was proving to be inefficient. They needed more effective ways to engage with candidates and keep them interested. The challenge was to find a solution that could streamline their recruiting process, improve engagement with candidates, and support the company's focus on diversity and inclusion.
The Solution
The solution came in the form of Eightfold's Talent Intelligence Platform, which was already being used by Nutanix's professional recruiting team. The university recruiting team was introduced to the platform and quickly saw its potential. They appreciated having a centralized platform to track, sort, and contact candidates. The user-friendly interface of Eightfold made it an easy choice for the team. Within 30 days of starting to use Eightfold, the university recruiting team decided to centralize their efforts on the Talent Intelligence Platform. They began pulling all information from other sources into the Platform, which was integrated with the Nutanix ATS. Eightfold's insights helped the team prioritize who to reach out to first from inbound applications. The platform's predictive email nurturing feature enabled highly effective and targeted campaigns, resulting in up to 70% open rates. The platform also supported the company's focus on diversity and inclusion by allowing the university recruiters to nurture diversity pipelines specifically and improve their results over time.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
