About The Customer
Sketch Books, Inc., originally known as Fully Booked, was founded in 2003 as a bookstore. Over the years, the company expanded its product line to include stationery merchandise. The company operates from 30 branches across the Philippines. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the company to shift its focus from physical stores to e-commerce. Despite the change in business model, Sketch Books is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service.
The Challenge
Sketch Books, Inc., a bookstore and stationery merchandise company with 30 branches across the Philippines, was forced to shift its focus to e-commerce due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company needed to ensure a high level of customer service despite the shift to remote working. The challenge was to maintain the same level of service and customer satisfaction while transitioning to a new business model.
The Solution
Business Intelligence (BI) has been a key part of Sketch Books' strategy since it first implemented QlikView in 2010. In 2020, the company migrated to Qlik Sense with the help of Qlik partner MTC. Currently, data is extracted from sales and inventory systems, and there are plans to use Qlik Sense to analyze HR and financial data as well. The solution allows staff to instantly see and analyze data from multiple sources, providing real-time insights on sales and inventory. This enables staff to make informed business decisions quickly.
Operational Impact
  • Staff can now instantly see and analyze data from multiple sources, providing real-time insights on sales and inventory.
  • The solution enables staff to make informed business decisions quickly.
  • Insight from this data transformation has enabled Sketch Books to modify business processes, culture and customer experiences, particularly during the pandemic.
