About The Customer
Muntajat, officially known as Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company Q.J.S.C., is a state-owned company in Qatar. Established in 2012, Muntajat manages the marketing, sales, and distribution of 10 million tons of chemicals and petrochemicals to 120 countries. The company's primary goals include reducing lead times and enhancing customer experience, which necessitates efficient and streamlined business processes. Muntajat operates in the advanced manufacturing industry and is a significant player in the chemical and petrochemical sector.
The Challenge
Muntajat, a Qatar-based company responsible for the marketing, sales, and distribution of 10 million tons of chemicals and petrochemicals to 120 countries, was grappling with inefficient, paper-based, and partially digitized processes. The company was dealing with a challenging SAP interface and manual approvals, which were causing delays and inaccuracies. The manual processes were particularly cumbersome in the HR department, where employees had to use paper-based forms for various requests, including leave, exit permits, and travel authorization. The process was time-consuming and prone to errors, with employees often using outdated forms and having to restart the approval process. The company needed a solution to streamline these processes, reduce lead times, and enhance the customer experience.
The Solution
Muntajat turned to Nintex Workflow and Nintex Forms to streamline and automate its processes. The company implemented Nintex's solutions to automate everything from leave requests, exit permits, and travel authorization, to expense and overtime requests. The Nintex solution integrated with SAP, automatically filling in the employee's name and title, and pulling in the name of the line-of-business manager and department head. The Nintex workflow also automatically completed customs reports and integrated expense requests upon an employee's return from a trip. The solution also included a feature called LazyApproval, which allowed the CEO to approve requests through his iPad email app, eliminating the need to log into the system. The HR department, where manual requests used to begin, saw a significant increase in efficiency and accuracy.

Field Device Asset Management For Chemical Company in China
Chinese chemical subsidiary of multinational corporation serves customers throughout the world. Sales offices and research and technology centers are strategically located to provide rapid response to customer requests. Just two workers were assigned to maintain thousands of intelligent instruments in three production units, so they could do little more than react to device issues as they appeared. This costly maintenance method inevitably led to unexpected downtime when a critical instrument failed. Plant management recognized the need to change from reactive to predictive maintenance for all assets, including instruments and control valves, but help was needed in implementing such a technology-based initiative.
