About The Customer
Greg Wells is an acclaimed music producer who has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry. He is known for his ability to seamlessly blend analog and digital recording techniques to produce high-quality music. Wells is a demanding customer who requires a system that offers incredible speed, powerful performance, and workflow flexibility. He values a system that allows him to focus on the creative process without being distracted by technical details. Wells appreciates equipment that is so good that he doesn't notice it, allowing him to focus solely on the music. He is a perfectionist who strives to achieve a record-like sound in the shortest time possible.
The Challenge
Acclaimed music producer Greg Wells was tasked with recording a song under a tight deadline using a combination of analog and state-of-the-art digital equipment at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The challenge was to seamlessly integrate the vintage analog recording gear that Abbey Road is famous for with the latest digital audio workstations. The project required a system that offered incredible speed, powerful performance, and workflow flexibility. The task was further complicated by the fact that Wells was working with the London-based band Strangefruit for the first time, and he had only three days to record and mix the song. The pressure was on to deliver a high-quality track within the given time constraints.
The Solution
The solution came in the form of Pro Tools Ultimate, a digital audio workstation that was recently upgraded at Abbey Road Studios. The Pro Tools Ultimate system allowed Wells to handle massive sessions with ease, offering a track count of 512. The system performed exceptionally well, opening plugins quickly even while a track was playing. The Pro Tools Ultimate system provided the speed, performance, and workflow flexibility that Wells needed to meet the project's tight deadline. The system was so efficient that Wells was able to focus solely on the creative process, without being distracted by technical details such as plugins opening slowly or limited track counts. The Pro Tools Ultimate system enabled Wells to achieve a record-like sound very quickly, which was crucial given the time constraints of the project.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
