The Challenge
Kichler Lighting, a leading decorative lighting design company, faced significant operational challenges due to rapid growth. The company needed to increase capacity within its existing facilities and lower distribution costs. The shift in order characteristics was driving more shipments via parcel, pushing total fulfillment capacity to the limit and exceeding the company's ability to manually process parcel shipments. The company sought an enterprise-wide solution to support its growth plans and create a more efficient distribution environment.
The Solution
Kichler implemented BluJay’s Global Trade Network and enterprise Parcel shipping solution to drive operational efficiencies. The solution provided a more streamlined, integrated workflow and improved customer service. End-of-day reporting gave management complete visibility, and the optimized production space created a scalable distribution operation. BluJay tailored the solution to Kichler's specific requirements, including the ability to combine individual commercial invoices into a consolidated commercial invoice for clearances. This functionality provided end-of-day reports for all parcel shipments moving to Canada on FedEx. The flexible architecture of Kichler's warehouse management system and seamless integration with BluJay’s Parcel solution enabled the company to adapt to its challenging physical layout and create successful distribution operations.

Moxa was asked to provide a connectivity solution for one of the world's leading cosmetics companies. This multinational corporation, with retail presence in 130 countries, 23 global braches, and over 66,000 employees, sought to improve the efficiency of their production process by migrating from manual monitoring to an automatic productivity monitoring system. The production line was being monitored by ABB Real-TPI, a factory information system that offers data collection and analysis to improve plant efficiency.
