J.W. Terrill is an insurance agency that provides a comprehensive range of property & casualty and employee benefit products and services to organizations of all sizes. The agency uses Vertafore’s Sagitta® agency management system to manage its operations. J.W. Terrill's management team was facing challenges with the manual creation, customization, and distribution of recurring reports, which was consuming significant time and resources. The agency sought a solution to streamline these processes and enable managers and supervisors to access and customize reports independently, without relying on IT assistance. The goal was to improve efficiency, reduce the time spent on report generation, and allow the team to focus on other critical projects.
The Challenge
J.W. Terrill needed to reduce the time spent on creating and distributing reports and then customizing them for individual managers and supervisors. The agency was using Vertafore’s Sagitta® agency management system and had been manually creating and distributing all recurring reports and using Excel to customize the reports and create user-specific reports. They would then manually distribute the reports via email attachments. Recurring reports were consuming an average of three days each month, and additional time was spent in other departments. The agency also faced difficulties finding a third-party solution available to Sagitta OnLine agencies, and Vertafore had no plans to upgrade the report scheduling capabilities within Sagitta. They were looking for a new reporting solution to free up valuable resources needed for other projects and ensure timely report generation and follow-ups.
The Solution
J.W. Terrill selected Informer software for its ease of use, automated scheduling and distribution capabilities, Live Excel integration capabilities, and multiple output options. Informer’s calculated columns, drill-down analytics, and charting capabilities provided a powerful yet user-friendly reporting solution. The software allowed for automated scheduling and distribution via email, enabling the management team to access and customize reports independently. Integrating Informer with Live Excel allowed managers to use familiar tools without needing extensive training on new software. Informer offered a straightforward interface that translated well for those already familiar with Sagitta Report Building, making the transition smooth and efficient.

Smooth Transition to Energy Savings
The building was equipped with four end-of-life Trane water cooled chillers, located in the basement. Johnson Controls installed four York water cooled centrifugal chillers with unit mounted variable speed drives and a total installed cooling capacity of 6,8 MW. Each chiller has a capacity of 1,6 MW (variable to 1.9MW depending upon condenser water temperatures). Johnson Controls needed to design the equipment in such way that it would fit the dimensional constraints of the existing plant area and plant access route but also the specific performance requirements of the client. Morgan Stanley required the chiller plant to match the building load profile, turn down to match the low load requirement when needed and provide an improvement in the Energy Efficiency Ratio across the entire operating range. Other requirements were a reduction in the chiller noise level to improve the working environment in the plant room and a wide operating envelope coupled with intelligent controls to allow possible variation in both flow rate and temperature. The latter was needed to leverage increased capacity from a reduced number of machines during the different installation phases and allow future enhancement to a variable primary flow system.

SPR Packaging, an American supplier of packaging solutions, was in search of an automated pallet labeling solution that could meet their immediate and future needs. They aimed to equip their lines with automatic printer applicators, but also required a solution that could interface with their accounting software.
