About The Customer
MC3 Multifamily is a rapidly growing property management company based in Northwest Arkansas. They manage a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties, including large student housing complexes. The company is focused on staying progressive and leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance their operations. Corey Runnells, who oversees all operations at MC3 Multifamily, emphasizes the importance of efficiency and user-friendly solutions in their property management processes. The company has a dedicated team, including an Operations Manager, a bookkeeper, an in-house property manager, and onsite staff to manage their complexes.
The Challenge
MC3 Multifamily was using Propertyware for property management and Quickbooks for accounting. As their business grew, they needed a more integrated and efficient solution to streamline operations. They sought a complete property management system that could handle everything from tracking prospects to managing residents and handling accounting, all in one platform. The goal was to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall management experience.
The Solution
MC3 Multifamily decided to implement AppFolio Property Manager as their new property management solution. They initially tested AppFolio on a newly acquired property and found it to be user-friendly and efficient. After a few months of operating both Propertyware and AppFolio, they fully transitioned to AppFolio in 2010. The integrated accounting functionality of AppFolio allowed them to streamline their bookkeeping processes and eliminate the need for Quickbooks. Additionally, AppFolio's complete property management solution enabled them to track prospects, manage residents, and handle move-outs all within one system. The built-in Resident Screening Service and online rent payment features further enhanced their operational efficiency.
