With over 700 employees and subsidiaries in Germany, Norway, Japan, Korea, China, and the USA, Mammut has a significant global presence. The company generates a total revenue of over CHF 233.4 million, with around 65% of the sales coming from the clothing segment in addition to the manufacturing of ropes. The company was in need of a comprehensive monitoring solution for their BizTalk Server environment, which led them to implement BizTalk360.
The Challenge
Mammut, a Swiss producer of mountaineering and outdoor equipment, was facing a significant challenge in monitoring their BizTalk Server environment. The team had no dedicated monitoring solution in place and had to rely on the BizTalk Server Administration Console for their daily operations. This manual approach was not only time-consuming but also lacked efficiency. The team found it increasingly difficult to get a high-level overview of the status of the BizTalk Server environment and applications. The lack of a monitoring tool was a significant hurdle in their operations, leading to inefficiencies and potential errors. The Solution
The solution to Mammut's challenge came in the form of BizTalk360, a comprehensive monitoring application. The team at Mammut learned about BizTalk360 from Nicolas Blatter, a Senior Technology Consultant at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, who had successfully implemented the tool at ABB. Impressed by the demonstration of the product, Mammut decided to implement BizTalk360 in their operations. The application's features, such as alarms and a monitoring dashboard, were exactly what the team needed to ease their efforts. With BizTalk360, the team could easily detect real-time errors and react immediately, leading to significant cost savings. The application also had the capability to handle specific types of errors and automatically rectify them without having to reset the data record and transfer it all over again. The setting up of alarms and threshold violation alerts helped the team to get notified when a problem occurred in the environment before it was noticed by customers or other business units.
