About The Customer
ALYN Woldenberg Family Hospital is the only pediatric rehabilitation facility in Israel. Founded by Dr. Henry Keller in 1932, the hospital hosts its main website in four languages and across three different domains. It also has a special projects website in both Hebrew and English, used for resource development and to coordinate special events. The hospital has a customer database of more than 70,000 patients. The hospital's IT team was concerned about the potential for cyberattacks, particularly through the events site, which could provide hackers with easier access to their systems.
The Challenge
ALYN Woldenberg Family Hospital, Israel’s only pediatric rehabilitation facility, was facing a significant challenge in securing its website and customer database of over 70,000 patients. The hospital's IT team was particularly concerned about the security of their content management system (CMS), as they felt their existing cybersecurity vendor was not updating the security on their CMS frequently enough. This left them vulnerable to cyberattacks, a growing concern in the healthcare industry. The hospital also had to consider patient privacy and regulatory compliance in their search for a new cybersecurity solution. The cost-benefit ratio and the constraints of a small IT team meant they needed a managed system that was easy to integrate and required minimal upkeep. Initially hesitant to move to a cloud-based system due to strict government regulations, they were also concerned about the potential weak points in their special projects website, which was used for resource development and event coordination.
The Solution
The hospital decided to implement Imperva's Cloud WAF, a solution that offered a good cost-benefit ratio and required minimal maintenance. The integration process was completed in less than a day, and the hospital continues to manage its servers in-house, with a staff member dedicated to security. Imperva's Cloud WAF has been low maintenance from the start, and the hospital has not needed any customer support for the last few years as the system has been running smoothly on its own. The Cloud WAF dashboard provides increased visibility for monitoring security threats, helping the hospital keep its systems secure. The hospital also uses Imperva’s DDoS protection, which significantly improves security and reduces downtime by fending off attacks.

Hospital Inventory Management
The hospital supply chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right medical supplies are readily available to clinicians when and where needed, and to do so in the most efficient manner possible. However, many of the systems and processes in use at the cancer center for supply chain management were not best suited to support these goals. In order to address the challenges outlined above, the hospital sought a solution that would provide real-time inventory information with high levels of accuracy, reduce the level of manual effort required and enable data driven decision making to ensure that the right supplies were readily available to clinicians in the right location at the right time.
