About The Customer
Harvestco Fabricators is a fabrication shop based in Ellensburg, Washington. They produce bales squeezes and cargo clamps for the hay industry. With 10 employees in-house and an industry of farmers dependent on their products, they have to be on time every time. Up until two years ago, Harvestco used Quickbooks to manage both their accounting and their inventory. However, they found that Quickbooks couldn't provide the real-time inventory tracking they needed, leading to issues with scheduling and cash flow.
The Challenge

For advanced database analysis and networking capability, the PC platform must be adopted. Therefore, PAC Systems (Programmable Automation Controller) with both PLC programming capabilities andPC functions is a better choice.The environmental control of the Orchid greenhouse switches on and off devices like fan, shade net, cooling/heat pump, liquid flow control, water-cooling wall etc. It is controlled by a control panel of electric controllers, and is driven by a motor, to adjust the greenhouse temperature, humidity, and other environmental conditions to the set parameters.
