The Challenge
Informatica faced the challenge of providing customers with the ability to report on archived data from any database. They needed to source and embed a third-party reporting application into existing applications and deliver self-service reporting to customers at every level of an enterprise. The complexity was heightened by the diverse user base across various industries, each with unique reporting needs. Traditional reporting methods were time-consuming and resource-intensive, creating bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
The Solution
Informatica chose Logi Report to build out its new reporting features. Logi Report's APIs allowed Informatica to embed reporting capabilities directly into its existing environment, making it database agnostic. This enabled any Informatica customer to leverage wide-ranging reporting capabilities regardless of their preferred data storage solution. Logi Report offers intuitive drag-and-drop functionality, allowing any business user to create visually compelling reports effortlessly. The software also features pre-designed charts, tables, crosstabs, maps, and filter components for rapid creation of dynamic, interactive reports. This integration provided an intuitive self-service alternative to complex reporting solutions, significantly increasing the value of Informatica's products.
