About The Customer

Gadsme is an AdTech company founded in 2019 and headquartered in Paris, France. The company provides an advertising platform specifically designed for the gaming and e-sports industries. Gadsme works with major video game studios and serves millions of ads every day, all embedded within scenes of video games. The company is committed to innovation and constantly strives to bring new brand experiences to the gaming and e-sports industries. Gadsme values contributing back to the open-source community, as evidenced by their significant contributions to the Cube project.

The Challenge

Gadsme, an advertising platform designed for the gaming and e-sports industries, was faced with the challenge of efficiently exposing data insights to their clients. As an AdTech company, Gadsme collects millions of events every day, all of which are stored in BigQuery. The company was in need of a tool that could help them manage and expose this vast amount of data in a meaningful and efficient way. They were also looking for a solution that could help them maintain complete control of analytics costs. The challenge was further compounded by the need to keep innovating and bringing new brand experiences to the gaming and e-sports industries.

The Solution

Gadsme found the solution to their challenge in Cube, a tool they discovered in 2019. Cube, with its built-in pre-aggregations feature, allowed Gadsme to expose meaningful data quickly and maintain control of analytics costs. The company started using Cube for their analytics solution, and all their dashboards and reporting API now use Cube. Gadsme also implemented Cube Store, which significantly sped up the loading times of data and graphs for their client dashboards. In addition to using Cube, Gadsme also built a GraphQL proxy on top of Cube's REST API. They also made significant contributions to the Cube community, including the first official support of a GraphQL API and the deployment automation of Cube using Helm Charts.

Operational Impact
  • The implementation of Cube and its built-in pre-aggregations feature has allowed Gadsme to expose meaningful data to their clients quickly and efficiently. This has not only improved the company's data management but also enhanced the client experience by providing them with quick and efficient access to data insights. The use of Cube Store has also significantly improved the loading times of data and graphs for client dashboards, further enhancing the client experience. Additionally, Gadsme's contributions to the Cube community, including the first official support of a GraphQL API and the deployment automation of Cube using Helm Charts, have demonstrated the company's commitment to giving back to the open-source community.

Quantitative Benefit
  • Gadsme serves millions of ads every day, all managed and analyzed using Cube.

  • The implementation of Cube Store significantly sped up the loading times of data and graphs for client dashboards.

  • Gadsme was able to maintain complete control of analytics costs using Cube.
