About The Customer
Forever Direct EU BV is an EMEA importer and distributor of Aloe Vera-based products from its US-based parent company, Forever Living Products. The company operates a regional distribution centre (RDC) in Oud Gastel, Netherlands, to serve around 500,000 independent distributors located in 93 countries. Forever Living Products, founded in 1978, is a US family firm that decided to build a new RDC in the Benelux region to gain better access to its customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The company aims to produce accessible, high-quality products and needed a reliable IT infrastructure to support its centralized logistics operations.
The Challenge
Forever Direct needed to centralize its logistical processes in a new regional distribution centre (RDC) to supply 93 countries in EMEA with Forever Living Products. The company also had to process 'direct delivery' orders for distributors in 19 countries. The original distribution model involved goods being dispatched from multiple distribution centres or directly from the US-based factories, which was complex and inefficient. Surveys indicated that the supply chain was too complex and was slowing down product and information flows. The company needed a modern, centralized distribution approach to meet 100% of the demand and delivery requirements of its distributors.
The Solution
Forever Direct selected Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management (WMS) and Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI) solutions to support its distribution operations in the new RDC. The WMS would drive logistics processes, while the SCI would monitor and further improve supply chain performance. The implementation roadmap for Manhattan’s solutions covered an area of 17,000 sq. m (180,000 sq. ft.) and lasted for 10 months. The deployment aimed to cut costs, optimize staff deployment, improve order fulfillment accuracy, and enhance service levels. Additional systems like Warehouse Control System (WCS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for sales and operations planning, and transport management and customs software were also implemented. The new IT infrastructure allowed for a more modern way of executing operational processes, ensuring scalability for future growth.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
