About The Customer
Infinera (Nasdaq: INFN) is a company that provides Digital Optical Networking systems to telecommunications carriers worldwide. The company employs over 650 people across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Infinera's systems are unique due to their use of photonic integrated circuit (PIC) technology, which offers simpler and more flexible engineering and operations, faster time-to-service, and the ability to rapidly deliver differentiated services without reengineering their optical infrastructure. The company required a robust recruitment infrastructure to support its rapid growth.
The Challenge
Infinera, a provider of Digital Optical Networking systems, was experiencing brisk growth and needed a robust recruitment infrastructure to support this expansion. The Vice President of Human Resources, Paul Whitney, initiated the selection process for an applicant tracking system by researching vendors and seeking recommendations from his professional network. The Human Resources and Staffing team at Infinera conducted an in-depth evaluation of six leading applications. After a comprehensive review, they selected Jobvite due to its superior features and functionality.
The Solution
Infinera selected and deployed Jobvite as their applicant tracking system. Jobvite was chosen for its user-friendly interface, which mirrors the workflow and activities of a recruiter, making it easier to use than other systems. The application also allows every employee to act as a recruiter by sending Jobvites to their contacts, creating a private community for sourcing candidates. Additionally, Jobvite's team was highly responsive to Infinera's demanding requirements, further solidifying their choice. The deployment of Jobvite led to positive feedback from executives, hiring managers, and employees, and significantly improved productivity by reducing the time spent on reporting and hiring manager requests.

Vodafone Hosted On AWS
Vodafone found that traffic for the applications peak during the four-month period when the international cricket season is at its height in Australia. During the 2011/2012 cricket season, 700,000 consumers downloaded the Cricket Live Australia application. Vodafone needed to be able to meet customer demand, but didn’t want to invest in additional resources that would be underutilized during cricket’s off-season.
