About The Customer
Victoria is a Belgium-based retail company that has been helping women shine with a curated collection of over 400 jewels since 1991. The company is the market leader in direct jewelry sales, with a large network of consultants spanning Benelux, France, Germany, and Austria. Their mission is to empower women by creating a community where women support each other in business and in beauty. Pauline Gilles, the Communication Manager at Victoria, plays a diverse role in planning and creating content for communications, social media, and the brand’s website, aligning campaigns across regions, and supporting local marketing teams.
The Challenge
Victoria, a market leader in direct jewelry sales, operates with a large network of consultants across Benelux, France, Germany, and Austria. These consultants, who are responsible for their own marketing, host jewelry parties and sell online through e-shops and digital parties. However, with such a large network of consultants, most of whom are not marketing experts, the marketing team at Victoria found it challenging to ensure brand consistency. To aid consultants in staying on-brand, Victoria provided them with images and other content known to perform well. However, the file storage tool initially used to deliver these assets was not effective, with poor uptake and lack of adherence from the seller network.
The Solution
Victoria introduced Canto, a digital asset management tool, to their local marketing teams in February 2021. The tool was launched at their annual February event, where new jewelry collections are introduced to consultants. This event provided the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how consultants could use Canto to develop their own business. The tool was an immediate success, with more than 1,700 consultants subscribing to Victoria’s Canto library on the first day. Today, 4,600 consultants have registered, and the figure is still rising daily. Canto allows Victoria to customize the look and feel of their asset library to match their brand. They can also create bespoke content sets to be shared with different markets. Consultants can access their country’s library in their own language, explore content, save it, download it, and share it on social media.
Operational Impact
  • Since introducing Canto across its network, Victoria has developed a stronger brand image on social media. Their consultants are now better empowered to publish content. Victoria’s marketing team can be confident that the greater volume of assets posted to social media are on-brand and pre-approved. The tool has also helped in maintaining brand consistency across different markets, as consultants can access their country’s library in their own language and share pre-approved content on social media. This has resulted in a growing network with stronger, consistent brand imagery used across social media.
Quantitative Benefit
  • More than 1,700 consultants subscribed to Victoria’s Canto library on the first day.
  • Today, 4,600 consultants have registered (34% of Victoria’s network).
  • The figure of registered consultants is still rising daily.
