The company is known for its innovative approach to providing travel solutions and has been at the forefront of using technology to enhance its services and customer experience.
The Challenge
LoveHolidays, one of the largest and fastest-growing travel brands in the UK, faced a significant challenge in maintaining its website performance to meet the high demand. With over a million users each month and an average of 4,000 requests every second in 2019, the company needed to ensure a seamless user experience to maintain and increase its conversion rates. The company's previous architecture was composed of various legacy systems, which added an unnecessary level of instability and lack of scalability. Furthermore, the company needed to optimize its hotel images, a critical factor in engaging potential customers and boosting conversions. Slow-loading images not only deterred potential customers but also negatively impacted the site's SEO performance.
The Solution
In 2020, LoveHolidays implemented Fastly's edge cloud to drive their digital transformation. This solution seamlessly handled device detection, image optimization, edge caching, TLS and GeoIP detection, and enabled real-time streaming of logs to BigQuery. This significantly simplified the company's infrastructure and improved performance, reliability, and cost savings. The company also used Fastly to optimize its hotel images, removing the overhead associated with having to resize images on the fly. Fastly's integration with Terraform provided complete code visibility and allowed the LoveHolidays team to monitor changes and deploy them with confidence. Furthermore, LoveHolidays utilized Fastly's Compute@Edge serverless compute environment to conduct A/B testing at scale, allowing the team to customize and personalize the customer experience without impacting SEO rankings.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
