The Challenge

Prior to implementing JDA Transportation Management, Walgreens relied on legacy software tools which were not able to keep up with the speed and complexity of the company's logistics operations.
The Solution
Walgreens implemented JDA Transportation Management to optimize not only shipments to its 8000 stores, but also its inbound logistics from Asia and other parts of the world. The move to JDA ensured that Walgreens has the most advanced solution, which is critical to keep their business running at the speed it needs to. JDA Services conducted training classes for Walgreens' transportation planners, enabling them to apply the software to the company’s logistics challenges. The company also developed its own training content based on what was learned in those sessions and used that content to roll the software out to the field users. The user-friendly interface of JDA Transportation Management has also helped the company in recruiting new transportation planners.
