The Challenge
Comdata Group, a global leader in customer interaction and process management services, faced a significant challenge in protecting sensitive and critical data as it expanded abroad through acquisitions. The company recognized the importance of focusing on the most valuable layer of their information, related to strategic plans, economics, or synthesis of production trends. They needed to overcome their pre-existing open source solutions, which were burdensome in terms of maintenance and dedicated resources, and make room for technologies that could provide greater automation and continuous evolution. The solutions needed to respond promptly to evolving threats and, with a cloud component, also provide protection on the mobility front.
The Solution
Comdata chose Forcepoint as their ideal partner due to its near-total adherence to their needs and the extreme speed of installation and commissioning work. The initial implementation of Forcepoint Web Security was followed by that of Forcepoint Email Security. More recently, these solutions have been enriched with Forcepoint DLP Discover, to ensure more accurate data protection wherever users are, to better meet the needs of managers, who are increasingly working on-the-move or from home. The need to protect the work of their managers and to guarantee effective and adequate access to critical data makes it necessary for Comdata to always consider the human factor. The Forcepoint Human Point System offers a solution to Comdata's needs of following management in their movements and offering maximum operational flexibility.
Operational Impact
  • The technologies adopted today cover the security needs of around 1,500 users, which belong to the company’s staff functions.
