About The Customer
The primary customers of CleanMenu.ch are managers of restaurants, bars, and hotels. However, the app is also used by the establishments' customers. The managers use the app to create their food and beverage lists, as well as daily specials. They can add details such as the name and description of the item, a picture or video, quantities and prices, and dietary specifications. They can also decide when they want to highlight specific items and manage the availability of products. The customers, on the other hand, use the app to access the digital menu by scanning the QR code provided by the restaurant.
The Challenge
The CleanMenu.ch team, consisting of Arthur Chabert, Reda, Yannick, and Morgan, faced the challenge of enhancing the experience of restaurant owners and their customers. They aimed to create a solution that would allow restaurant owners to easily manage and update their menus, while also providing a seamless and efficient way for customers to access these menus. The team, who had previously built Fhyve, a Swiss digital product agency, had a decade of experience in building and launching market leader products. However, they needed a platform that would allow them to build their app quickly and efficiently, with the necessary customization options and features.
The Solution
The team chose to build their app, CleanMenu.ch, on Bubble, a no-code platform. This platform allowed them to develop their app within a restricted time period and budget. CleanMenu.ch allows restaurant owners to create a digital menu and its linked QR code. Customers can then scan the QR code to access the digital menu. The app's user-friendly interface allows restaurant and bar owners to create, manage, and update their menu in just a few minutes. The app also includes features such as the ability to highlight specific items, manage product availability with an 'out of stock' option, and implement the solution in different languages. The business model of the app is based on a subscription fee that varies depending on the capacity of the restaurants/bars using it.
