About The Customer
As a Fortune 500 company, Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. (JLL) operates nearly 300 corporate offices in 80 countries and manages a workforce exceeding 86,000. A leader in London’s property market for over 200 years, JLL provides Real Estate advice and services that help clients succeed in one of today’s most sought-after business districts. From location suitability, to site selection, through property procurement, JLL offers comprehensive, end-to-end client services that goes beyond traditional brokerage and consultancy firms.
The Challenge
Following seismic demographic, economic, and technological shifts across the city of London, JLL and London & Partners realized a modern site planning tool was needed that advertised the advantages of working in this global business center. JLL wanted to provide commercial Real Estate clients determining where to start, relocate, or expand operations with a solution that would process large volumes of data into accurate, precise, and up-to-date insights for clients without GIS expertise and accessible through a centralized application.
The Solution
CARTO met these demands and with its technological platform delivered a Location Intelligence tool called, “GROW.London”. With GROW.London, JLL and London & Partners have been able to equip clients with relevant data and insights for making business locations decisions in 5 categories: competitiveness, connectivity, markets, talent, and living. As a web application, GROW.London presents these measures through a mix of charts and graphs alongside interactive maps. These maps display demographic increases in population, employment, and economic growth, existing and emerging key office markets, residential housing prices, and transportation network improvements impacting London’s competitiveness as a connected global business hub.
