About The Customer
The customer in this case study is Chris Madden, the front of house engineer for pop superstar Anastacia's Ultimate Collection Tour. Madden has completed world tours with multi-platinum artists, including Pink, Jessie J, Joe Cocker, and Sade. He has been working with Avid since 2005, and has used the VENUE | S6L for all his work in the year of the tour. Madden tested the VENUE | S6L in his home studio before the tour and was impressed with its sound quality and performance. He also appreciated the console's ease of navigation and the time it saved him in the run up to a show.
The Challenge
The challenge was to support pop superstar Anastacia’s five-month long Ultimate Collection Tour, a large-scale 60 input production designed for theatres. The tour was scheduled to make multiple stops in the UK, Germany, Italy, and Eastern Europe. The tour required a powerful and reliable system that could handle the demanding nature of the tour, including a special show in Prague where a full orchestra joined the production. The system needed to be able to handle the high channel count and provide flawless performance and recording every night.
The Solution
The solution was the Avid VENUE | S6L, a powerful live mixing console with advanced processing power and flawless performance. The VENUE | S6L was able to support the demanding tour, providing clear sound and smooth navigation. The console was also able to handle the high channel count, even when an additional mixer joined the production in Prague to mix the orchestra. The VENUE | S6L's advanced processing power and track counts ensured flawless performance and recording every night. The console's integration with Pro Tools also allowed for easy recording and archiving of every show. The VENUE | S6L's Virtual Soundcheck feature was particularly useful, saving hours of prep and pre-show time across the tour.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
