About The Customer
Acushnet is a recognized leader in the golf industry, being the home of Titleist and FootJoy. The company's history in the golf industry dates back to 1932, and today, they are the steward of two of the most revered brands in golf. Acushnet is a global company with teams and partners across continents, all of whom rely on brand and marketing assets to promote and sell Acushnet products. The company needed a simpler, more effective way to manage and share marketing content across their portfolio of brands.
The Challenge
Acushnet, a global leader in the golf industry, faced a significant challenge in managing and sharing marketing content across their portfolio of brands. The company, which is the steward of revered brands like Titleist and FootJoy, had teams and partners spread across continents. These stakeholders relied heavily on brand and marketing assets to promote and sell Acushnet products. However, without a centralized location to manage all of this content, assets were scattered across numerous tools and devices. This lack of organization made it difficult to maintain brand consistency and effectively distribute marketing materials.
The Solution
To address this challenge, Acushnet implemented Acquia DAM (Widen) in 2016, after researching and comparing various digital asset management vendors. Acquia DAM provided a single, centralized location for secure access to marketing content by both internal teams and external partners. This included regional teams who needed to modify creative assets for their local markets. The system's robust security settings, including asset groups and user roles, allowed for control over the assets that each user could access. Acushnet also utilized the Portals application in Acquia DAM to streamline content distribution to specific audiences. This allowed them to share a select number of assets in a branded microsite, simplifying the process of sharing content for campaigns or product launches. Additionally, the Insights app in Acquia DAM provided valuable analytics on system utilization, supporting risk management.
Operational Impact
  • The implementation of Acquia DAM has brought about significant operational improvements for Acushnet. With secure, self-serve access to a centralized repository, teams and partners around the world now have immediate access to the latest marketing materials. This has streamlined the process of sharing content, making it easier and more efficient. The use of Portals has further simplified content distribution, providing an easy way to share a select number of assets with both internal and external users. Moreover, giving regional teams and distributors access to approved and current content has allowed Acushnet to enhance unity within campaigns and across their brand experience. This has resulted in more cohesive brand messaging, strengthening Acushnet's brand identity in the global market.
