About The Customer
ROKiT Venturi Racing is a Formula E racing team based in Monaco. The team is committed to promoting the vast potential and enhancing the popularity of electric mobility through victories and podium finishes in Formula E racing. Sustainability sits at the heart of ROKiT Venturi Racing’s core values, with the team committed to promoting a carbon-free future. The team was recently awarded the FIA three-star Environmental Accreditation, an award given to environmentally friendly organizations that meet a rigorous evaluation carried out by the FIA. Additionally, diversity is an integral part of ROKiT Venturi Racing’s culture. One-third of their team members are female, making them the most diverse team in Formula E.
The Challenge
ROKiT Venturi Racing, a Formula E racing team, is committed to promoting a carbon-free future and showcasing the potential of sustainable mobility. However, the team faces significant IT challenges in processing, analyzing, and understanding data quickly. These factors have significant implications on their performance on the racetrack and in R&D at their factory. The team needs to ensure that they are at the cutting edge on the IT side to compete against much larger teams backed by big names in the automotive industry. From the factory to the trackside, the team needs to enhance data access, team communication, productivity, and agility.
The Solution
To gain ground against much larger teams, ROKiT Venturi Racing partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). HPE provided the team with a range of hardware solutions including HPE Nimble Storage, HPE Edgeline EL4000 Converged Edge system, HPE StoreEasy storage, HPE SimpliVity hyperconverged system, Aruba access switches, and Aruba gateways. HPE also provided software solutions such as Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager and Aruba AirWave Network Management. HPE Pointnext Services provided guidance, delivered consulting services, and helped the team formulate and implement a tailored IT road map. HPE experts also helped ROKiT Venturi Racing design and implement a simulator at its headquarters in Monaco. The simulator uses a combination of virtual machines on an HPE Edgeline EL4000 Converged Edge system and an HPE StoreEasy storage system to support realistic testing and simulation based on real-life data transmitted from the racetrack.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).

Monitoring of Pressure Pumps in Automotive Industry
A large German/American producer of auto parts uses high-pressure pumps to deburr machined parts as a part of its production and quality check process. They decided to monitor these pumps to make sure they work properly and that they can see any indications leading to a potential failure before it affects their process.
